Trying a trending dessert.

During the holidays, my friend and I went to Tampines to finally try Bingsu as it was the next big Korean thing in Singapore. We were both excited to try it as our social medias were filled with these unique desserts. Bingsu is famous in Korea as a shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings. It first started off with red bean paste, condensed milk, ground nut powder and Korean rice cake. After it became famous, different unique combinations were made. Therefore, the different types of Bingsu was created.

This is the menu for the different variety of desserts.

After much consideration, we decided to order the oreo and the Injeolmi Bingsu. It comes with a small container of milk to pour it over the Bingsu to enhance the sweet flavour.

The Oreo Bingsu has oreo bits layered on the shaved ice, topped off with a scoop of oreo ice cream. and finishing with an oreo biscuit at the top. Oreos and shaved ice is a great combination as the sweetness of the oreo compliments well with the shaved ice.

The Injeolmi Bingsu is top off with nuts and soybean powder. It tasted like muah chee to me. Overall, the taste is good and I will definitely come again to try the other flavours.
